Invitation

The India International Symposium on Acoustics (IISA) and the Acoustical Society of India (ASI) are pleased to invite scientists and engineers from all over the world to attend the India International Symposium on Acoustics (IISA-202) to be held at University of Calicut, Keralam during 19-21st November 2026. This symposium will be a great opportunity for acousticians and experts in ultrasonics & vibration to come together and share their latest research, ideas and applications in the fields of acoustics, ultrasonics and vibration. The symposium will feature a broad range of high-level technical papers from across the world: distinguished plenary lecturers will present recent advancements and future prospects in important topics of sound, ultrasonics and vibration.

As a historic gateway to the Malabar region of Keralam, Calicut (Kozhikode) is a vibrant coastal city known for its rich cultural heritage, academic prominence, and scenic beauty. It was near Calicut, at Kappad Beach, that the Portuguese explorer Vasco da Gama first landed in India in 1498, marking a significant moment in world history and global maritime trade. Once a flourishing center of commerce and learning, Calicut today offers a harmonious blend of tradition and modern development. From its historic landmarks and serene beaches to its thriving educational institutions and lively markets, visitors will experience the warmth and cultural depth of Keralam.

The conference will be hosted at the University of Calicut, one of Kerala’s premier higher education institutions, established in 1968, set amidst a lush and tranquil campus environment conducive to academic exchange and collaboration. The venue is conveniently accessible from Calicut International Airport (11 kms), Kozhikode Railway Station (24 kms) and National Highway 66 ensuring smooth connectivity for participants travelling from across India and abroad.

The main goal of the conference is to provide deep insights into acoustic activities among ASI and ICA member societies and to promote future cooperative research projects. The symposium encourages international collaboration and welcomes foreign acousticians to participate and organise structured sessions. We look forward to welcoming you to CALICUT, KERALAM

With best regards
